What Sets Us Apart?
River School Therapies is a sister company to River Pediatric Therapies, founded in 2000 by owner and CEO, Cherie River, who was inspired to become a Speech Language Pathologist when her nephew Harrison was born with Down Syndrome.
Cherie spent the first 8 years of her career in Pittsburgh Public Schools, giving her "on the job" experience to develop a school-based model to deliver services.
River School Therapies embraces the unique needs of each district, understanding the nuances of serving families in both socio-economically challenged environments and those in affluent communities. Our therapists understand the dynamics that each school faces, helping them to connect with students and gain rapport with families.
River prioritizes building relationships with district staff, encouraging open communication to prioritize student progress.
With a positive track record of helping to accomplish district goals, we provide fast turnaround on evaluations, reports, and IEP development. Our goal is to submit reports ahead of the 60-day compliance guidelines, with 100% accuracy with both state and district terminology requirements.
Our management team emphasizes close contact with each administrator to ensure satisfaction, and is eager to make adjustments needed to maintain the highest quality service that your district deserves.
